Born in Japan, Mao Omura has been an active orchestra and chamber music violinist in the United States, Japan and Europe. Currently, Mao lives in Atlanta, Georgia and will be serving as the associate concertmaster for Symphony Orchestra Augusta during the 2014-15 season.
In November, Mao will be featured as the soloist in Barber’s violin concerto with Augusta. Throughout the year, Mao will be performing in the Bach Quartet project with members from Symphony Orchestra Augusta.
